Greetings from Ruth Tucker!
I just received an email asking how one might procure a plywood coffin. Readers please help. Let me know where, in your area, plywood coffins can be purchased.
West Michigan readers can simply wander into our store, Carlton Gardens, Monday through Saturday and purchase a coffin right off the floor. Here they are, mine and John's. We will either sell our own or take a special order, with or without shelves. The everyday low price for either one of these is $159. What a deal!

I'm with you! And besides you, Ruth Graham and Judge Marshall (also in a wooden casket), I have felt like a loaner - which didn't bother me. :) I found you by googling wooden caskets made by prisoners just to see if I could find a place close by. Blessings on this project - can't stand all the money spent on a funeral, especially when I will be celebrating at Home!

Thanks for this I've been looking into caskets. I know my grandfather is soon going to pass and we have to find out what he wants to be buried in. such a sad time. I found this other site that had some pretty good caskets. http://www.impressivecasket.com/
My grandparents have started talking to use about what they want at their funeral, and they didn't want anything. It was a very weird conversation. They told us that all they wanted was a casket, the whole family to be there, say a few words, and call it good. I guess it's all about what you prefer.
